Then is Now

With no warning, this morning's gentle Summer Breeze scooped me up with the warmth and scents it carried within it as it traveled from the Gulf of Mexico and transported my mind from my back porch in south texas

Pen down, Book closed, Listening and Feeling the Breeze

to the back porch of the south saint louis home of my youth.
On this porch of my youth, I had also silently sat and listened to the yard, felt the exact warm breeze flow over my arms, smelled the same earth scents that came on it from across the mighty river.  It dipped down and scooped up the scent of grandma's roses as it sped by.

While the breeze took what was before it, it also left something important behind. Memories.  For over half a century, they have visited me often in my Silent moments, when I am not expecting them.

To go back in Time, with no warning, to a Real moment, has taken my breath away. What I thought was gone, exist Right Now.

What I really want you to know is, it was the SAME Warmth, the SAME Feel, the SAME Silence.  There was no ‘like it was then’…it was THEN NOW.

Have you ever been transported BACK to NOW?
